Kaltura Personal Capture: Create a recording

If this is your first time using Kaltura Personal Capture, you will need to download and install the program. Refer to Kaltura Personal Capture: Download and Install for more information on the process.

Note: If you are using Safari, you need to change your cookies settings in order for the tool to load properly. 

1. Access Kaltura My Media via Canvas
    
2. Select Add New button near the top right
   
   
    
3. Select Kaltura Personal Capture
   
   
    
4. If prompted, open or launch the program
   
   
    
5. The Settings tab is a centralized screen that enables you to manage the Kaltura Personel Capture Desktop Recorder.
   
   
    
6. You can start recording using the default input settings by clicking the red bottom. Refer to Kaltura Personal Capture - Recording Options* to learn how to change the following default input settings:

• Recording Your Screen
• Recording Camera and Screen
• Recording Your Camera*
• Recording Two Cameras*
• Recording Your Screen or Partial Screen*
• Recording From Two Screens*
• Recording a Presentation
• Recording Audio Only

8. After you "stop" your recording you will be directed to the entry page. Refer to Completing and Uploading Your Recording* for more information on the process.
